Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before using InvOwl

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of InvOwl's invoice management platform operated by InvOwl B.V. (“InvOwl”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these terms, then you may not access the service.
Definitions
Account Terms
To use our Service, you must:
- • Be at least 18 years old or the legal age in your jurisdiction
- • Provide accurate and complete registration information
- • Maintain the security of your account credentials
- • Promptly update any changes to your information
- • Be responsible for all activities under your account
You may not use our Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose, nor may you, in the use of the Service, violate any laws in your jurisdiction.
Service Description and Acceptable Use
Our Service Provides:
- • Automated email scanning and invoice extraction
- • AI-powered document processing and data extraction
- • Invoice organization and categorization
- • Financial insights and expense tracking
- • Integration with accounting software
- • Bulk export and reporting features
Acceptable Use:
You agree NOT to:
- • Use the Service to process illegal or fraudulent documents
- • Attempt to reverse engineer or hack our systems
- • Share your account with unauthorized users
- • Use automated systems to abuse our Service
- • Upload malicious code or harmful content
- • Violate any third-party rights or privacy
- • Exceed the usage limits of your subscription plan
Email Access and Data Processing
By connecting your email account to InvOwl, you:
- • Grant us permission to access emails containing invoices and receipts
- • Authorize us to download and process attachments
- • Understand that we use OAuth for secure authentication
- • Can revoke access at any time through your account settings
Important: We only access emails and attachments that appear to contain invoices or receipts. We do not read personal emails or access content unrelated to financial documents.
Subscription and Payment Terms

Payment Terms:
- • Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance
- • All fees are exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise
- • Payments are processed securely through Stripe
- • No refunds for partial months or unused services
- • Price changes will be notified 30 days in advance
Free Trial:
New users may be eligible for a free trial period. At the end of the trial, you will be automatically charged unless you cancel your subscription.
Intellectual Property Rights
Our Property:
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of InvOwl B.V. and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Our trademarks may not be used without our prior written consent.
Your Content:
You retain all rights to the invoices and documents you process through our Service. By using our Service, you grant us a limited license to process, analyze, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
Feedback:
Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide about our Service may be used by us without any obligation to compensate you.
Privacy and Data Security
Your use of our Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs the Site and informs users of our data collection practices.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including:
- • Breach of these Terms
- • Non-payment of fees
- • Suspected fraudulent or illegal activity
- • Request by law enforcement
- • Extended period of inactivity
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. You may request a copy of your data within 30 days of termination.
Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
Service Disclaimer:
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Limitation of Liability:
To the maximum extent permitted by law, InvOwl shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
Maximum Liability:
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you to InvOwl in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Note: Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless InvOwl B.V. and its licensees and licensors, and their employees, contractors, agents, officers and directors, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including attorney's fees), resulting from:
- • Your use of and access to the Service
- • Your violation of any term of these Terms
- • Your violation of any third party right
- • Any content you submit to the Service
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved through:
- Good faith negotiations between the parties
- Mediation in Rotterdam, Netherlands
- If unresolved, binding arbitration under Dutch law
Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
Miscellaneous
Entire Agreement:
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us regarding our Service.
Severability:
If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid, the remaining provisions will continue in full effect.
Assignment:
You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent.
Waiver:
No waiver of any term shall be deemed a further waiver of any term.
